The Great Cosmic Mother

This book gave me my first exposure to culture other than consumer culture. It draws on religious traditions, native cultures, and archeological sources from all over the world and throughout history to show that religion based on a feminine Goddess was the original religion of all humanity. It gave me an entirely different view of myself as a woman and a view of life based on connection with the Earth.
